Free Wildflower Bouquet Embroidery Pattern
This hand-drawn embroidery pattern is based off of the colorful, modern bouquets that florists are sharing to their feeds. I often draw inspiration from other mediums, including nature. This intricate pattern brings a bouquet of lovely blooms to your fabric, offering a wonderful project for both beginners and experienced stitchers. Here’s what you need to get started:
Materials:
- Embroidery hoop (7-9 inches)
- Embroidery floss (various colors: green, blue, purple, hot pink, light pink, orange, white, and yellow)
- Embroidery needle (I like to use size 3-5)
- Fabric (cotton or linen)
- Scissors
- Pattern transfer pen or pencil
Instructions:
- Download the Pattern: Click here to download the free wildflower bouquet pattern.
- Transfer the Pattern: Print the pattern out of a piece of paper and trace the design onto your fabric using a transfer pen or pencil on a window or lightbox. You can also trace directly from your laptop using the screen’s light.
- Prepare Your Hoop: Secure your fabric in the embroidery hoop, making sure it is tight like a drum.

Begin Embroidering:
- Stems and Leaves: Use a backstitch or stem stitch with green floss and lazy daisy or leaf stitch for the leaves.
- Flowers: Use a variety of stitches like satin stitch, straight stitch, French knots, and lazy daisy to create the wildflowers. You can also add beads to the flowers to add a pop!
